Anti-Bullying Guide for Parents
Anti Bullying Week:
In 2020 we linked Anti Bullying Week with Self care week - we linked Anti Bullying, Cyber Bullying and Mental Health together to learn how we can take care of ourselves online, mentally and within our friendships.
CHANGE STARTS WITH US is the focus for 2019 Anti Bullying week. We are looking at Anti Bullying, Being a Good Friend and saying "No" to Cyber Bullying.
During Anti Bullying week 2018 we looked at Respect - Respect for each other, Respect Online, Respect ourselves. We spent the week talking about online bullying/ how to respect instead of bully.
Autumn 2017 we celebrated Anti Bullying Week and focused on 'Being a Buddy not a Bully' - bands, stickers and certificates were given out to Good Friends by the Pupil Parliament during the week. Yr4 sang an anti bullying rap to everyone and in PSHE we talked about being good friends, anti-bullying and cyber bulling all week in our classes.
Anti-Bullying and Cyber Bullying are both taught together as we recognise that in our modern society bullying more readily occurs online. The Children are taught about the importance of anti-bullying both in person and over social media/ online. We take both forms of bullying very seriously at school and are in constant contact with parents, community to help raise awareness of keeping our children safe.
We have produced simple information leaflets for parents and children which explain our Anti-Bullying Policy and procedures.
This is available for download from this page.
A full copy of our Anti-Bullying Policy is available on the policies page on the website.
