Year five - Songwriting day!

Today we have had Mr Brown in school to help us write a new song all about Great Britain. We thought about different elements and aspects that make the UK such as British values, the Queen, armed forces and the NHS. We worked with our shoulder partners to compose some lyrics and we had to think of lots of rhyming words. Mr Brown showed us his acoustic guitar, it was loud. However, he then showed us his electric guitar and it was SUPER LOUD!

He Performed a song called 'White man driver', it was AMAZING!

Year Five - Our trip to Liverpool! (Summer - term 1)

Year five had a fabulous time at the Liverpool Maritime Museum. We took part in a Transatlantic slavery workshop based on our History topic. We learnt about racial discrimination in Britain and how slaves were transported. We discussed how this has impacted on our lives today and we compared times of the past to present day.

We spent the day Bunny Hopping for East Lancs Hospice - we had great fun and raised loads for charity too!
