Year 4 enjoyed the Santa Dash with Accrington Academy this year...
Year Five had a fabulous two days on Bikeability! The children learnt different ways of signaling and maneuvering on their bikes before going out on the road. The children really enjoyed it and received a certificate and badge of achievement!

Its official - we came 2nd in the School Sport Partnership team competitions last year, with 210 points. Well done Huncoat!

Key Stage One Dance Festival
Take a look at some of our KS1 children who took part in a Dance Festival at the Hyndburn Academy! The children participated in a number of routines and used a range of skills.
Football Update
We are super proud of two children in Year 6! Jax and Jaden have dedicated a lot of their time to football which has seen them sign for Burnley and Liverpool's Academies. Both players also play for our home teams with them both being captains! Well done boys!
New Age Kurling & Boccia Intra-School Competition
To end our Target Games unit of work, KS2 children have been participating in an Intra-School competition! So far the Red Team have been victorious on two occasions.
Physical Activity 2020!
This year, 8 of our children participated in a FUN afternoon at Hyndburn Sports Center. The children had a go at Zumba, Gymnastics, Squash and a circuit training session.
Year 5 & 6 Sports Hall Athletics
This competition was based at Hyndburn Academy and the children participated in a number of indoor track and field events.
KS1 Kurling Event

Gifted and Talented Multi-Skills Event!
Take a look at some of our amazing reception children who represented the school at Christ the King Primary School in Burnley.
The children took part in a variety of balancing activities during one of our gifted and talented events.
Huncoat Football Super Stars!
We are delighted to announce that two of our Football Players Jax and Jaden have both been selected to represent the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Town Team. Both boys took part in two grueling trials but came out victorious.

Cross Country
Well done to our fantastic cross country team who took part in the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley competition.
Well done to; Mia, Eliza, Teyla, Oliver, Madison, Isobel, Oliver, Alex, Lucas and Tia.
A special mention to Eliza who has qualified for the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley County Finals.

Our wonderful football team managed to take maximum points from the recent set of fixtures! The team won 4 games out of 4 taking 12 points in total and scoring 13 goals!

Year 3 & 4 Sports Hall Athletics
Some of our Year 3 & 4 children took part in a sports hall athletics event at Oakhill College. The races included running throwing and jumping.

Some of our children represented our school at a multi sport event at Oakhill College. They took part in volleyball, boccia, hockey, kurling and many other fun activities!
Netball
Well done to our magnificent netball team! They worked so hard in the freezing cold conditions!
Cross Country
Well done to the magnificent year 5 and 6 cross country team who competed at Wilsons Playing Fields! Every member of the boys and girls team managed to finish within the top 100 in each race! A fantastic effort!
Special mention to Millie Pedigrew who also managed to qualify for the East Lancashire Cross Country Championships after finishing a staggering 15th in the Hyndburn girls race! Well done Millie!
